Research Output per year
Dr. Chen Zhao's primary research interest is the influence of lifestyle factors on dementia risk. No disease-modifying treatment for dementia exists currently, and primary prevention remains an elusive goal.
Specifically, Dr. Zhao's research goals are to identify lifestyle risk factors for dementia (e.g., diet, sleep, exercise, cognitive activities, early life exposures) using a life course epidemiology approach, and furthermore, to examine how these lifestyle risk factors interact together to moderate overall dementia risk.
