    Personal profile

    Research interests

My core research centers on how states learn from each other and, thus, how policies spread within the American federal system. This work is based on core policy theories, including policy diffusion, agenda setting, the Advocacy Coalition Framework, and punctuated equilibrium. I also conduct policy-specific research on drug policy (marijuana and opioids), mental health policy, and environmental policy.
