Dr. Elizabeth Federici's clinical research focuses on outcomes for patients with hematologic diseases including hemophilia and thrombosis. She is researching treatments for patients with hemophilia undergoing invasive procedures. In addition, she aims to clarify the effects of hereditary and acquired factors in the development of thrombosis.
The overall goal of her research is to improve health and quality of life for people with hematologic diseases.
Teaching and educational interests
Dr. Elizabeth Federici is involved in residency and fellowship education and recruitment. She is also the course director of the Hematology clinical board for medical students at Penn State College of Medicine.
Dr. Elizabeth Federici's clinical interests include bleeding disorders, platelet disorders, aplastic anemia, thrombosis and thrombophilias and myeloproliferative diseases.
