Clinical interests

Dr. Karen Krok is a transplant hepatologist at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.  Her clinical practice focuses on the care of patients with liver diseases, including those who are in need of a liver transplant. She is the medical director for the medical center's live-donor liver transplant program. 

Research interests

Dr. Karen Krok has participated in multiple multicenter clinical trials, including ones studying the safety of live-donor liver transplants and the pulmonary complications of liver disease. She is currently participating in trials studying fatty liver disease and primary sclerosing cholangitis. 

Teaching and educational interests

Dr. Karen Krok is a former program director and the current associate program director for Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center's Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship and has a passion for training future gastroenterologists and hepatologists.
