    Lynette Chappell-Williams is responsible for developing and implementing an organizational diversity/inclusion strategy for Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine, including recruitment strategies for diverse medical students, implementation of training to advance cultural competency, oversight of implementation of the affirmative action program, oversight of student disability services, partnerships with departments to advance recruitment of a diverse workforce and implementation of a supplier diversity program.

    Among her accomplishments, she has led the implementation of a written patient bias policy to reduce medical student and provider experiences of bias, co-led the establishment of the "Rooney Rule" to increase senior leadership diverse representation from 23% (2016) to 35% (2018), establised diversity pipeline partnerships with historically Black colleges and universities, established a measurable three-year diversity strategic plan and established the framework that allowed the institution to be recognized as a best employer for diversity by Forbes, Military Times, Human Rights Campaign and Insight into Diversity.
