    Research interests

    Dr. Mansoureh Mamarabadi's research interests are in the implication of neuromuscular ultrasound in the diagnosis of neuromuscular conditions such as entrapment neuropathy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and myopathy. She is also interested in exploring ultrasound parameters predicting  disease progression or condition monitoring. Additionally, Dr. Mamarabadi is involved in ALS centered research activities including clinical trials in treatment of ALS patients.

    Clinical interests

    Dr. Mansoureh Mamarabadi’s clinical interest includes hereditary and acquired neuromuscular conditions such as myopathies, neuromuscular junction disorders and neuropathies. She has a personal interest in treating ALS patients. She works closely with other specialists/therapists in an ALS multidisciplinary clinic to provide excellent care to ALS patients and their families.

    Dr. Mamarabadi established and developed a new neuromuscular ultrasound service at a neurophysiology laboratory. She performs nerve ultrasound in patients with nerve diseases including entrapment neuropathies as well as diaphragm ultrasound in patients with phrenic nerve palsy. Dr. Mamarabadi also performs EMGs and skin biopsies.
