    Teaching and educational interests

    Dr. Neyha Cherin is involved in resident and fellow education in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

    Since 2019, she has served as part of the program executive committee and the clinical competency committee for the Spinal Cord Injury Fellowship at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center/Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital and of the executive committee for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency.

    She has been a facilitator for patient navigation for medical students at the College of Medicine and a mentor in the Health Career Exploration Program since 2017 and a residency mentorship program faculty mentor at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center since 2019.

    Dr. Cherin is also a regular lecturer on topics including ultrasound, Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and the integration of physical medicine and rehabilitation consultations with other specialties, presenting at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital. She has also participated in Penn State Project ECHO's series on Ehlers-Danlos syndromes since 2019.

    Clinical interests

    In addition to her clinical practice in physical medicine and rehabilitation Dr. Neyha Cherin is part of several committees at Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital, including the stroke program development meeting and the ehtics committee. At Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, she is also part of the cancer committee, the health literacy initiative committee, the utilization review/post-acute care continuum committee, the hip fracture process committee, the neuroscience clinical effectiveness committee, the readmission quality assurance committee and the stroke oversight committee.
