Research interests

Dr. Tamara Oser began her research career at Penn State College of Medicine with a focus on educational research. When a personal connection led her to better understand the challenges of living with type 1 diabetes and form connections within the diabetes community, she focused her research efforts on using social media to better understand the experience of living with type 1 diabetes. She currently is involved in a diverse array of projects including examining the experience of raising a child with type 1 diabetes and autism and understanding unique barriers to help facilitate exercise in patients with type 1 diabetes.

Dr. Oser currently serves as the Residency Research Director in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.
