Project Details
Description
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The purpose of this investigation is to learn how skin cooling affects blood pressure if the body has less blood than normal. The investigators will test the ability to control blood pressure before and after the volunteer has donated about one pint of blood (the size of a normal blood donation). A total of 15 volunteers will be included in this investigation.
