Abstract

Frequency selective surfaces (FSS) have been extensively studied for several decades and have been widely used for thin planar filters including band-pass and band-stop filters. A conventional FSS typically consists of an array of periodic metallic patches and the methodologies for the analysis and design of FSS are well developed. Moreover, in recent years advanced FSS design techniques have been explored and applied for a wide range of different applications [1, 2, 3].
