Abstract

A concise overview is presented of the metabolism and pathogenesis in 0,4203 ethylene glycol (antifreeze) toxicity. Symptoms, signs and diagnostic aids are discussed. As to the treatment it is stated that the condition of the patient and the post-ingestional interval should be considered in formulating the treatment regimen. The effects of several chemical agents is discussed.
