ADAPTIVE IIR FILTERING: A NEW APPROACH.

    Abstract

    A stochastic approximation variant of the Steiglitz-McBride identification scheme is developed for adaptive IIR filtering. Parameter convergence is shown by preliminary computer simulation. An interesting phenomenon, global convergence regardless of local minima, is observed.
