It is shown that all-optical beam steering is possible by employing an array of uncoupled nonlinear waveguides. This can be achieved by varying the input power into successive waveguides in a linearly ascending or descending fashion. Examples are given which show that deflection angles up to - 1° can be accomplished when such an array is implemented on a multiquantum well sample.
