Abstract

The phosphazenes [NP(NHMe)2]n, [NP(NHMe) 2]4, and [NPMe2]4, react with K 2PtCl4 in organic media to yield square-planar Pt complexes of the type (NPR2)x PtCl2, and in aqueous acid media to yield salts of the type, [H2N4P 4R8]2+[PtCl4]2-; moreover, these compounds have shown significant antitumour behaviour in preliminary testing.
