Abstract

Sixteen papers were presented at the conference covering such topics as ignitions for gas-turbine engines, display systems, radios, safety-related electronic equipment, fuel injection, switches and switch-gear. Present-day automobile lighting and problems of ordinary cars, all-electric cars and motorcycles are summarized. Following is a list of titles and authors: Electronic Fuel Injection. By H. Scholl. Starting Gas Turbine Engines. By E. Wharton and E. Carr. Cold Chamber Development Work and Testing. By A. J. BBarber. Low-Tension Electrical Distribution. By C. H. Hartop and W. F. Greenstreet. Summary of Present-Day Automobile Lighting. By P. Cibie. Electric Retarders. By J. Reed. Vehicle Headway Control. By A. P. Ives, G. A. K. Brunt, N. B. Widdowson, and J. R. Thornton. Trends in the Design and Performance of Spark Plugs as Related to Engine Exhaust Emissions. By L. R. Lentz, R. D. Miller, and T. E. Cadmus.
