N2 - We consider the production of axigluons (A), massive octet gauge bosons present in all chiral color models, in the decays VQ → Ag, where VQ = 3S1 (Q Q ̄) and g is a gluon. We find that such decays, if kinematically allowed, can easily dominate the annihilation decays of heavy 3S1 quarkonia. We also consider the decays of axigluons into light quarkonia (J/ψ Υ{hooked}) plus gluon as a possible signal of light axigluon production. The effects of axigluon exchange on quarkonium spin-splittings are also briefly discussed.
