Abstract

A major environmental objective of this study was to establish the chemical characteristics of a wide spectrum of foundries solid wastes for establishing regulatory limits. These efforts are aimed at providing a technical data base for beneficial use of foundry by-products (excess systems sand, slag and baghouse dust), as an alternative to landfilling. the marketing guidelines based on the quantities and distributions of foundry residual wastes are developed.
