Abstract

The Mrozowski algorithm for finding cartesian solutions of Maxwell's equations for anisotropic media (D equals epsilon //0 epsilon E, B equals mu //0 mu H) is extended to even a more general class of linear, homogeneous, anisotropic media (D equals epsilon //0 epsilon E minus j eta //0** minus **1 multiplied by (times) mu //0rH, B equals mu //0 mu H plus j eta //0 epsilon //0sE). With the present extension, the utility of the Mrozowski algorithm has been greatly enhanced.
