Abstract
Perioperative management of the pregnant patient who also has intracranial hypertension can present many problems. There have been numerous reports in the literature with regard to surgical and obstetric management of such patients, although many of these reports antedated the intracranial pressure-reducing modalities presently in common use. We describe the anesthetic considerations in a pregnant patient presenting for cesarean section during an ongoing acute neuroresuscitation after a ruptured cerebral aneurysm.
