Charge transport and carrier dynamics in liquids probed by THz time-domain spectroscopy

Abstract

Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy was used to examine the charge transport properties and dynamics of electrons in liquid hexane. The frequency dependence of the conductivity of electrons was found. The Drude model enabled to determine the scattering time and density of the quasifree electrons.
