Abstract

The approaches that are actively being explored to meet the anticipated increase in jet fuel thermal stability demands include the development of new fuels, the judicious use of fuel additives, and the implementation of engineering strategies. Efforts to understand the thermal reactivity of the tetralin/tetralone system in a model fuel system were presented. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 228th ACS National Meeting (Philadelphia, PA 8/22-26/2004).
