Collaborative Publication by University Librarians: An Exploratory Study

Abstract

A survey of librarians at Penn State revealed a high degree of scholarly collaboration leading to multiple-authored journal articles. The intellectual element of collaboration is an important benefit of working with a co-author. There is evidence of a link between collaboration and the production of a higher quality publication.
