N2 - This paper is about how to interface the real world to a computer. Using a low-cost multifunctional Data Acquisition (DAQ) Box with analog in/out (AIO), digital in/out (DIO), and counter, various experiments are designed to introduce several important aspects of computer interface to sensors and actuators. Fifth semester students take EMET 230 as a required course during an eight-semester BS EMET degree program.
