Control algorithm for technician dispatch in random demand

Abstract

An application of Distributed Arrival Time Control (DATC) to a transportation problem is introduced. DATC is a highly decentralized scheduling algorithm capable of dealing with heterogeneous environment. Leveraging minimal global information throughout the simulation and utilizing maximal autonomy of distributed entities, DATC produces reasonably good solutions within a relatively short solution time. Through the application of DATC to the dispatching and routing of multiple transportation resources for dynamic service requests, the guaranteed quick solution convergence is achieved.
