Abstract

Stripper wells generally produce formation brine along with oil. In order to meet the discharge criteria established by federal and state environmental agencies, and to sustain continued production from these marginally economic wells, this brine must be treated in a cost-effective manner. This paper presents the research efforts leading to such a technology.
