Coupled Structural-Electromagnetic Analysis of Origami-Inspired Adaptive Structures

Abstract

This article proposes a method to conduct coupled structural-electromagntic analysis of embedded electromagnetic devices on origami-inspired structures that are deployable and reconfigurable. The method uses a script-based multidisciplinary design and computational anaylsis tool to connect an in-house MATLAB code for nonlinear mechanics analysis and a Python-HFSS library for electromagnetic analysis.
