Abstract
A tapered-element oscillating microbalance (TEOM) has been applied to measure the hydrogen storage/release properties of magnesium without and with palladium nanoparticle dopant under continuous flow conditions. Compared with those measured by a volumetric method, TEOM provides more accurate and dynamic information on the hydrogen absorption and release behavior under continuous flow conditions in real time, which is important for the study of hydrogen storage materials and for the proper design of hydrogen storage devices for practical applications.
