    Abstract

In signal processing with monolithic processors a clever selection of algorithms that are best suited to that processor will allow a designer to obtain considerably more processing speed and efficiency than can be obtained with the direct programming of conventional binary arithmetic. In the future, as new processors appear with increased computational power, it will be very important to develop new (digital signal processor) (DSP) algorithms that will extract the maximum efficiency from these new products. This paper describes two different 8085 microprocessor based digital filters that were built and evaluated using signal processing algorithms.
