Abstract

sugar is used as new precusor of activated carbon, it should be carbonized at 700°C and activated at 800°C, specific capacity of electric double layer capacitors(EDLC) made of the material can reach 39.85F/g. When it is measured from 0 to 1.5V at current of 0.5mA. This capacitor has large specific capacity, good cycle life, and can be used as power sources of portable electronic equipment and hybrid electrical vehicle.
