Engineering and engineering technology program assessments - DACUM style

Abstract

The use of Develop-a-Curriculum (DACUM) analysis in engineering and engineering technology program assessments is discussed. DACUM is a curriculum developed process that include a detailed analysis by a panel of experts. The panel analyzes the duties, tasks, knowledge, skills, traits and attitudes of workers in a specific occupation. DACUM results show the communication and computer skills transcend the divide between the programs and are necessary for any graduates working in the engineering field.
