Abstract

Background + Current ATM system is a result of short-term fixes to evolving problems □ Not capable of handling predicted traffic + In far-term, radically-different concepts of operation can be envisioned □ E.g. fully centralized trajectory determination □ E.g. fully de-centralized trajectory determination □ E.g. some mix of the two + No generalized framework for comparing radicallynovel concepts.
