Abstract

The functionalization approach have been focused on reactive polyolefin, involving p-methylstyrene and borane comonomers and transition metal catalyst, especially metallocene catalysts with constrained ligand geometry. Both reactive comonomer units in polyolefins are very versatile, which can be transformed to various functional groups and initiators for graft-from polymerization reactions. The combination of these two complemental comonomer approaches have prepared a broad range of functional polyolefins.
