High temperature oxidation behavior of CaB6 sintered body

Abstract

The oxidation at high temperatures of hot-pressed calcium hexaboride (CaB6) sintered body was investigated in order to determine the suitability of this material for application at high-temperature. The oxidation of samples started at 1273 K, and the weight gain increased with increasing oxidation temperature.
