Inversion of hydraulic and electrical data for the determination of fracture aperture

Abstract

A numerical procedure is presented for the simultaneous inversion of hydraulic and electrical data describing the flow of fluid and electrical current through a single fracture. Application of the inversion procedure to hydraulic and electrical data computed for an arbitrary aperture distribution illustrates a number of aspects and advantages of the simultaneous inversion procedure.
