title = "Lattice QCD thermodynamics up to the perturbative regime",
abstract = "We study the thermodynamics of the quark gluon plasma with lattice simulations in the continuum limit up to 1 GeV temperature where we show that a perturbative description already applies. We calculate the effect of the presence of charm quark in the equation of state and also describe the topological features of quantum chromodynamics. This conference contribution is based on Nature 539 (2016) no. 7627, 69–71 and Phys. Rev. D 92 (11) (2015), 114505.",

Katz is funded by the Lend{\"u}let program of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences ((LP2012-44/2012). The work of R. Bellwied is supported through DOE grant DEFG02-07ER41521. The work of J.R. is supported by the Ramon y Cajal Fellowship 2012-10597 and FPA2015-65745-P (MINECO/FEDER). The computations were performed on JUQUEEN at Forschungszentrum J{\"u}lich (FZJ), on SuperMUC at Leibniz Supercomputing Centre in M{\"u}nchen, on Hazel Hen at the High Performance Computing Center in Stuttgart, on QPACE in Wuppertal and on GPU clusters in Wuppertal and Budapest. An award of computer time was also provided by the INCITE program. This research used resources of the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility, which is a DOE Office of Science User Facility supported under Contract DE-AC02-06CH11357.
