Measurement of radioactive activity for 59Fe using intensity balance method

Abstract

The specific radioactivity of 59Fe solution sample for international comparison organized by Japan ETL (Electro Technical Laboratory) in 1997 was measured in our laboratory by using intensity balance method. The measured specific activity of 59Fe sample is 1.8367(1±1.0%) MBq/g, and it is in agreement with the one measured by ETL within -0.7%.
