Abstract
The 2- mu m circle plasmid of Saccharomyces cerevisiae is widely studied. These plasmids offer unique opportunities for studying the way DNA is stored and inherited in the yeast nucleus. The interaction of the plasmid with normal cellular structures is presented and reviewed.
