Abstract

A general approach is presented for obtaining new switched capacitor filter realizations by means of matrix manipulations on the network equations of a discrete-time filter. The approach is illustrated by obtaining a bilinear-Z transformed analog filter containing only Euler integrators. Also, an experimental filter is described that was derived by replacing resistors with switched capacitors in a friend bandpass circuit. An experimental circuit is described with one stage replaced with a a bilinear integrator, and a novel switching arrangement is proposed for properly terminating a switched capacitor ladder realized with Bruton's lossless discrete integrators.
