Abstract
The Bragg wavelength-regime of an axially excited cholesteric liquid crystal contains electric, magnetic and mixed resonances. The resonance wavelengths initially change rapidly, but later slowly, with respect to the material thickness. The center-wavelength of the Bragg regime is unlikely to be resonant.
