Abstract

Roundness is one of the basic geometric elements in engineering design and manufacturing. As a result, its inspection is an important part of the inspection of many industrial parts. In this paper, we present two optimization algorithms for roundness inspection based on the least-squares criterion. A discussion about computer vision inspection is also included.
