Abstract

The harsh, remote conditions of the Antarctica ice cap pose formidable challenges to continuous, year-round geophysical data acquisition. A serial data-acquisition engine is designed and developed using the GNU/Linux operating system on a small single-board computer to remotely record earthquakes.
