N2 - An integral-equation method has been used to derive the polarizability dyadics of small chiral ellipsoids immersed in an achiral fluid. These polarizabilities have been used to obtain the effective properties of a dilute suspension consisting of randomly oriented, ellipsoidal, chiral particles suspended in an achiral fluid. Finally, the optical rotation and the circular dichroism of the suspension have been obtained.
