Preparation and properties of (Na0.5K0.5)NbO3-LiTaO3 piezoelectric ceramics

Abstract

The (1-x)(Na0.5K0.5NbO3) -xLiTaO3 lead free piezoelectric ceramics were prepared by using conventional oxide powders method. The crystalline, dielectric, piezoelectric, and ferroelectric properties of (1-x) (Na0.5K0.5NbO3)-xLiTaO3 ceramics were investigated. It was found that the morphotropic phase boundary of this system was located at x=6.5%, and the maximum value of piezoelectric constant d33, electromechanical coupling factor kp were 233 pC/N and 40% respectively.
