The effects on the preparation of spherical Ni(OH)2 of some important preparative conditions which determine nucleation rate such as concentration and adding rate of the reactant solution, concentration of aqueous ammonia, pH value of solution in the tank and reaction temperature were theoretically investigated . On the basis of theoretical analysis , spherical Ni(OH)2 with tapping density higher than 1.95g/cm3, and electrochemical activity higher than 200mA·h/g were prepared under the optimum preparative conditions.
