Abstract

The use of proper sampling methods for the coal preparation is discussed. Proper sample collection starts with selection of the proper sampling device or tool. One of the best way to sample will be to install mechanical samplers that are designed to meet various international and national standards. It is important that sample containers are marked clearly and accurately. Using the correct sampling tools will reduce sampling, laboratory analysis and data reduction costs by doing things right the first time.
