Abstract

The composting (substrate preparation) methods used to make a selective growing medium for mushroom involve specific materials handling technique, mixtures and processes. In this paper, the two phases of mushroom substrate preparation - phase I, outdoors; and Phase II, indoors - are discussed and the objectives these preparations are elucidated.
