Abstract

To the Editor:… I was extremely disappointed by the complete lack of attention to the use of nurse practitioners and physician's assistants as primary care providers in the Sounding Board articles in the March 4 issue of the Journal13. Physicians can care for more patients, use their medical training more appropriately, and provide better preventive and maintenance health care for their patients when they work with nonphysician primary care providers.
