Abstract

The projection synthesis for quantum-scissors device using the pule-mode formalism was investigated and studied the effect of mode-mismatch problem on state truncation and preparation. In general, the quality of the prepared state strongly depends on the details of the mixing process and the conditional measurement. When these two main phenomena were prone to errors, the generated state may considerably differ from the desired one.
