Radiative width of the ρ- meson

Abstract

The excitation of high-energy pions in the nuclear Coulomb field has been investigated. The data, analyzed assuming the presence of both electromagnetic and strong contributions to coherent production of π-π0 systems, yield a decay width for ρ-→π-γ of 67±7 keV.
