Large and Unsteady Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) solutions are becoming more common place and require better post processing capabilities to handle the data particularly for Large Eddy Simulations and Computational Aero-Acoustics Solutions. To meet this growth a tool is needed that leverages parallel computing paradigms and utilize Faster I/O methods to more quickly compute intensive post processing functions. To address this need, Intelligent Light has developed Rotorcraft Computational Aero- Acoustics Post-processing System (RCAAPS). RCAAPS consists of a complete integrated computer hardware system, enhanced NASA flow solvers such as OVERFLOW and FUN3D and a Graphical User Interface that permits interactive exploration of large unsteady data for rotorcraft aero-acoustics. The GUI also enables the user to interactively adjust the inputs to the acoustic code PSU-WOPWOP and to easily create time history and spectral plots. This paper presents the prototype integrated hardware/software system that has been developed.
